Austin, Texas 23 contributions 21 helpful votes. Gorgeous hotel, beautiful setting, subpar food. This hotel is truly remarkable- from the time you walk in the door you feel like you have been whisked away to a different era. The setting is truly stunning and photos really just don't do this place justice. Aesthetically, everything is very well done and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. When reading the reviews before visiting, I noticed a common theme regarding the price of food and drinks.

I thought nothing of it as most 5 star hotels can have pricey menus, however, this was next level. We were excited to try the Michelin- starred Pellicano Restaurant and it could not have been more of a disappointment. It was honestly one of the worst meals either of us have ever had before.

Not to mention the service was absolutely terrible despite the fact that there were only 10 other people in the restaurant. Pelligrill was much better and I suggest going there instead. Loved this hotel and glad we came, but probably won't return back based on the above. Read more. Date of stay: August Rooms. Helpful Share.
